Deprosc Microfinance Financial Institution Limited is a national-level microfinance institution operating under the Bank and Financial Institutions Act, 2073 and the Company Act, 2063. It was registered on 2057 Poush 28 with the Office of the Company Registrar under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Government of Nepal. It obtained a license from Nepal Rastra Bank on 2058 Ashadh 19 under the name Deprosc Development Bank Limited. The institution commenced its microfinance operations on 2058 Shrawan 1.
The shareholding structure comprises 9.27% each from Nabil Bank Limited, Nepal Bank Limited, and Lumbini Development Bank Limited; 7.69% from Agricultural Development Bank Limited; 9.99% from Deprosc Nepal (Development Project Service Center); 0.62% from the Center for Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research, Extension, and Development (CEAPRED); 0.53% from Citizen Investment Trust; 0.39% from Mahila Adarsha Samaj; 0.19% from Garima Development Bank Limited; and 4.06% from other individual founders. This results in a total ownership of 51.27% by the promoter group and 48.73% by the general public shareholders.
